The weather looked decidedly damp as we drew up along side Poplar Voyager. Paul, Chris, Malcolm and Hugh had completed the trip from North Wales in record time. Even as we arrived Bob Theakston, the captain, was deciding how to avoid the force 8 gale predicted for the area. The first night was spent in port. The others on the trip were Steve Malpass, Steve Andrews, Paul Bury & Helen, Robert and Merle, Richard Shucksmith, Melanie Harding, No bouncy stuff for Malcolm. The following morning we set off for Harris with shelter for the following evening. We certainly did bouncy then. Stugeron sea sickness tablets were being consumed at a high rate. Then it was a dash across to St Kilda. Hormones levels among some became raised as we got the news that a boatful of nurses were making for the island.
We had three dives around St Kilda. The walls were fantastic with every bit of space taken up. Naturally Jewel Anemones were in abundance.
It was then back to Skye to avoid the bad weather. We had four more dives on the way back. Not as good diving as around St Kilda but good none the less.
